What is Express Entry?

Canada's fast-track to Permanent Residency

Express Entry is the Canadian government's primary system for selecting skilled workers for permanent residence. It uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates and issue Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through regular draw rounds — approximately every two weeks.

Since 2023, IRCC issues most invitations through category-based draws — targeting French speakers, healthcare workers, STEM professionals, and more. In 2025–2026, 98% of all ITAs were issued through category draws.

Check Your CRS Score →
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
For skilled professionals outside Canada
Requires minimum CLB 7 language ability, 1 year of skilled work experience, and a post-secondary credential. No Canadian experience required.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
For workers already in Canada
Requires 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada (TEER 0–3) within the last 3 years. Most common pathway in 2025–2026. Recent CRS cutoff ~515.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
+600 CRS points — near-guaranteed ITA
Provinces nominate candidates who meet local labour market needs. A nomination adds 600 CRS points, making an ITA essentially certain in the next draw.

From people who made it

I'd been avoiding this for two years because I thought I needed an expensive lawyer. Pathway flagged that I was already eligible. Submitted in one weekend. PR approved 5 months later.

The NOC code thing was killing me. I'd been classified under the wrong code by another consultant for 6 months. Pathway caught it in 2 minutes and explained exactly why.
